I built a 7-figure med spa from scratch. Now I help practice owners across the country do the same — faster, smarter, and without the costly mistakes I made along the way.

From Corporate Engineering to Med Spa Ownership

My career did not start in aesthetics. I earned a B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an M.S. in Operations Research from Columbia University. That analytical foundation shaped everything I build today.

I started at IBM in management, where I learned systems thinking, process optimization, and how to scale operations. But corporate life was not where I belonged. I am a builder.

HGBags: The First Venture

In 2007, I founded HGBags — a high-end online handbag company that grew into an international business generating seven figures in revenue. That venture taught me e-commerce, brand positioning, and the reality of running a business where every dollar comes from your own decisions.

Bellava MedAesthetics: The Practice That Changed Everything

In 2010, I founded Bellava MedAesthetics and Plastic Surgery Center in Bedford Hills, New York. I opened a 3,000 square foot facility in a down economy — 2011, when most people were closing businesses, not starting them.

Over the next eight years, I grew Bellava into a $1.5M practice. We achieved Joint Commission Accreditation for our ambulatory surgery center. Surgery volume increased 50% from 2012 to 2013. We performed the most CoolSculpting treatments in all of Westchester County.

The revenue split told the story of a diversified practice: approximately 50% surgical procedures, 35% laser and injectables, and 15% spa treatments.

That experience is what separates MDConsultingNY from every other med spa marketing agency in the country. None of our five direct competitors have a founder who actually owned and operated a med spa. Not one.

What I Do at MDConsultingNY

MDConsultingNY is my third startup. I oversee the full range of marketing consulting services we provide to aesthetic practices nationwide, specializing in the intersection of quick short-term revenue generation and sustainable long-term growth strategy.

I work directly with practice owners on business strategy — not just marketing tactics.
